Pastoral Care Meeting - The Pastoral Care Committee will be meeting with Father Steven on Tuesday, June 22, at 3 PM in the Guild Room. If you have been involved with pastoral care at St. James in the past or would like to get more involved in the future, please plan to attend this meeting. 4th of July, Picnic in the Park -- will be the site of a booth sponsored by the Fundraising Committee for the benefit of the restoration fund. For sale in the booth will be Heavenly Horseradish, Texas Ranch and Garlic Galore food dips, Tuscan Blend and Roasted Garlic with Herb for oil dips. At in the booth for sale will be the St. James note cards and bookmarks. The booth will be set up from noon to 5:00 pm.

"Shout to the Lord" -- is the theme for our Episcopal Diocese of WNY Summer Camps. The applications for Sleep Away Camp, Junior High Camp and Senior High Conference are now available. At the Sleep Away Camp, parishioner Lisa Naylon serves as camp nurse and former Cathedral Canon Mother Cathy serves as chaplain. Calling All Fruits -- Believe it or not, we are already thinking of next year's fish fries and local fruits are coming into season. If you have any rhubarb, berries, peaches or zucchini in your garden or should you "go picking", we would love whatever you want to
donate. Just bring it in and put it in the freezer. If you don't know how to prepare it for freezing, just call Terry or Jo-Ann or the office.
Paint Can Projects -- The "Paint Can Project" continues to support the repair of pews, some wiring repair and numerous small repairs. There are many things that need to be done in the building as small repairs, before they become very large, expensive repairs. Loose change and quiet money appreciated!
THANK YOU -- for the great response we have had in the last few weeks to our call to purchase the Scrip (gift) cards. We have lowered the inventory and increased the amount of profit we deposited in the restoration fund. Please continue to support this project when you go grocery shopping, go to the drug store, to Kmart, WalMart, to Applebee's, you know the list!

Here's a quick reminder of what should and should not be put in our recycle bin. YES - Newspapers, magazines, catalogs, workbooks, paperback books, school paper, junk mail, hard cover books (with covers removed). NO - phone books, trash, glass, plastic, anything from the kitchen and bathroom, cardboard.
